Is there a way to sync portfolio if story changes epic link

Scenario:

JIRA Project X has Epics and Stories

JIRA Project Y has Epics and Stories

Import filter to Portfolio Plan 1: project in (X, Y) - All epics and stories for X are under Initiative X (no JIRA issue linked) and same idea with Y. So "Epics" in Portfolio match exactly with actual Epics in JIRA, same with stories.

Boards are synced and everything looks good.

Product owner changes Story A's epic link from Epic Red to Epic Blue (this is done either by editing the story itself or dragging it on an agile board).

On Portfolio Plan 1, even after updating via "Update from date," the story still shows under Epic Red. Is there a way to have Portfolio automatically move that story based on the Epic Link field? Can anyone reproduce this behavior?

Hi Brian, this is currently not supported - there is an open suggestion ticket here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPO-276 - we are working on addressing this as part of a general improvement of the integration with JIRA Software.
