I'm using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant to migrate projects to the cloud. I create a test project with the test stories in order to test this migration. Everything checks out but then i run the migration I get this error.
2020-04-24 16:21:51.445 ERROR TM project-export We couldn't export Field Layout Scheme default. Reason: java.lang.IllegalStateException: entity.id must not be null.
I tried searching for Field Layout Schemes but I could not find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Same issue here. Created a ticket with Atlassian. I'll update this thread with any findings.

Atlassian said we need to upgrade the Server instance for migration to succeed. Others say their instance is on the current release with the same failure. We'll jump through that hoop and report back.

They got back to me quickly. However, there isn't an easy fix. This is the gist of their response: "Unfortunately JCMA plugin is still a WIP which is actively being improved but still misses some features. Please, check this page to see what gets migrated by the plugin."
We'll likely abandon the migration because it is too much of a lift to get into a system that is getting increasingly locked down. The result will be prices will go up and it'll be more difficult to migrate away from later on.
