Jira Opsgenie Suddenly Appeared - HELP

Stephen Doggette June 5, 2024

Hello.  I was working in Jira and suddenly a window popped up talking about transferring to/from Opsgenie.  Now I have these annoying advertisements in the "Your Work" window.  I don't know how to get rid of them.  I frickin' hat Atlassian and any products they market.  HELP PLEASE!jira app window 1.pngjira app windows 2.png

hi Stephen

Sorry to hear that disabling the Opsgenie didn't remove the unwanted information from the "your work" screen.
To investigate this further, I created a ticket on your behalf to our Jira Service Team.
They will be able to provide you with a deeper investigation and check the possibility of removing the Opsgenie information from your site.

You should receive the issue link directly in your email

Thank you!

Hello Stephen

I'm sorry to hear that the Ops Genie message is annoying.

This is part of our: Set up operations and complete your shift to Jira Service Management
The message was designed to make a smooth transition to our customers, not actually propaganda.

If you don't need to swift between Opsgenie and JSM you can turn of the notifications:

To turn off Opsgenie, you can navigate to Settings > Products > Shift from Opsgenie to Jira and select the Turn off Opsgenie button.

Thanks

Hello and thank you, Ligia. I was able to follow your instructions above.  I turned of Opsgenie as directed.  It is still showing in Jira.  Perhaps it takes a period of time for actual removal.  I will check back later.  Cheers.
