Hi Community,
As a project manager, I would like to know whether the Jira Project Admin Certification (https://training.atlassian.com/learning-paths/jira-proj-admin) is beneficial for the career growth?
And also on the website (https://training.atlassian.com/certification-catalog), it is mentioned the cost at $100/-.
Can anyone please clarify my doubt, is this $100/- fee include for the certification exam & the course preparation of Jira Project Admin Certification?
I am looking forward to your valuable information on this.
Thanks,
Simranjit
Hi,
I was certified (ACP-600) in January this year, so I can answer your question concerning the cost.
It costs 100$ for the Training. You receive also a code for the certification. You have 60 days to do the Exam. Then there woun't be extra fee.
The ACP-300 also includes some topics of project administration. But gives many more information about agile methods (Boards and Reports)
Kind regards Ireen
@Ireen Klein_Actonic I really appreciate for your reply.
I would like to know, is it possible for you to share the study material and topics you prepared for the ACP-600 certificate exam.
And how much the ACP-600 exam is difficult.

Hello @Simranjit Singh ,
there is no much I can provide you.
I simply worked through the materials from Atlassian, videos and Lab book. I tried things that were unclear at Click & Run.
There you can set up a test instance with one click: https://www.actonic.de/en/click-and-run/
I've already known the type of questions from ACP-100, so I knew to pay attention to the correct wording. Then as I work as system admin, I had to doublecheck if I can change things when I'm 'only' project admin. I think it is possible to reach the goal and pass the exam with learning and testing. It depends on the experience you have working with Jira.
For me the most difficult part was JQL search. I learned a lot.
I wish good luck and success for ACP-600.
Kind regards, Ireen

Hi @michael sam - it's the latter. Six months' exposure to Jira Software Cloud is recommended before taking the training course and exam. But after that, everything you need is in the course.
ACP-JCP Managing Jira Cloud Projects
(Certification Bundle: training course + online exam) USD $100
Includes a chance to re-take the exam for free—available only to beta participants. Good luck!

@michael sam - I think the course is a good starting point. Then based on that, you can decide if you need additional study materials.

If you are a PM and are using agile to manage your team, I would say it adds more value the ACP-300 cert.
About the other question, what I understand is that the 100 is just the prep course and the exam voucher is 250.
Regards
