Hi,

I want jira to email me an automatic message when start date is today.

I need to add a trigger for this but don't know which trigger to choose.

Example: a ticket has been created with the start date June 15. As soon as June 15th comes, I want jira automation to send me an email with my text.

How do I ensure that Jira sends me an email on this date?

thanks!Screenshot 2024-06-14 120027.png

Hi @sahar sedieqie

Welcome to the community.

Please check this page: Automation for Jira - How to trigger an automation rule based on a due date field

Alternatively, you can subscribe to a filter instead of automation.

There is a "Scheduled event" automation trigger that can be set up to run at specified times. Jira allows for advanced CRON expressions or just clicking through the "basic" section to choose whether it runs every X days, weeks, months at X time.

I've used it for a few different use cases, most recently it'll automatically transition cards further along in the process after X time and certain criteria is hit to help review processes continue in the case a user forgets to move the issue card.  Screenshot 2024-06-14 105711.png
