LDAP group member of local group?

Adam Dyga January 2, 2012

Is it possible to add an LDAP (Active Directory) group to JIRA's local group? When I try to do this I get "You do not have permission to perform this operation" message, even as Administator... My LDAP directory is configured as "Read-only with local groups".

It is not possible to add LDAP users to Crowd group and vice versa. Since JIRA directories are based on embedded Crowd, the same holds true for LDAP groups and JIRA groups I would think!

Actually it IS possible to add LDAP users to JIRA local groups (and this is what description "Read-only with local groups" option in LDAP Directory configuration says).
