MSSQL Database

Fong Gary March 7, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring a SQL Server Datasource in Apache Tomcat

Hi,

Is JIRA supporting MSSQL Database? We are going to upgrade from Windows 2003 to Windows 2012. But I would like to know that JIRA 7 can support MSSQL database and Tomcat 5.5? Or we also need to upgrade the Tomcat to Tomcat 7 as well?

Thanks and regards,
Gary Fong

JIRA 7 supports MSSQL database, here(https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/supported-platforms-802592168.html) you can find which exact versions. And here is how to do that: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/connecting-jira-applications-to-a-database-802592175.html.

JIRA 7 don't support tomcat 5.5. You can find list of supported Tomcats in the first link of my answer.
