Hi All!

When I move an issue from the Active Sprint to the Backlog (Using Move to -> Backlog by right-clicking the issue in the Board), in what position does the issue gets moved into in the Backlog? I see that it's always not moved to the Top/Bottom of the backlog. Does this depend on the Rank of the issue?

Hi @Rajalinga Pandian

The backlog is usually set to ordered by rank. i.e. to keep the order you have placed them in. An issue added with an existing rank value will be placed according the that value. The position is dependent on the the history of your items in setting a rank value.

The rank value isn't visible and it's not a simple number. An issue may be displayed on multiple boards so the value is a complex string.

The is an issue raised here you can vote for

JSWCLOUD-15444

Hi @Tom Lister

Thank you for the response and it clears the query I had on the ordering. Also, a human-readable rank would be very useful and I have voted for the same.

Hi @Rajalinga Pandian I have attached a image below . you have to navigate to the backlog section and in the active sprint whichever issue is there you need to drag and drop in backlog .
