Hi Team,
How do to send saved jira filter as a report in email to a particular set of users.
When i save a filter and try to subscribe it, am only able to subscribe it to the group am member of.
But I want to send the report to a specific set of people.
For example, i want to send the report on daily basis only to 4 people without subscribing to group.
IS THAT POSSIBLE?
Also is it possible to send the report as an excel attachment instead of listing them directly in the mail?
I did create a filter and subscribed it to my group. And my group is able to view the report in email.
But when they click the filter URL and try to access that filter in JIRA, it shows as "Requested filter does not exist or is private"
Why is it showing like that, when we have subscribed to a group i believe all users in that report should be able to view that filter logically as the report which comes in mail shows only 200 ticket results.
If result is more than 200 we need to go to filter and view them which is only possible by the user who has created and not to all the group members who had been subscribed.
You can absolutely do this using the Better Excel Exporter app!
It will generate a standard XLSX format Excel spreadsheet, add this to an email as attachment and send the email.
Edit: Nvm, sorry, I didn't realize this was for Cloud.
For Server/DC, if you need another option, Notification Assistant for Jira allows you to set up exactly this kind of notification with the contents in the email itself. We don't yet support the Excel option.

You can use Coupler.io add-on to pull the email data to Google Sheets and then connect it to your mailing system.

not OOTB.
you can only set subscriptions to groups/roles, not individuals
you cannot send the results as excel
you can consider various addons if so desired.

well...let me caveat this a bit. You could use Project Automation to run a query daily and send an email to a list of people but not in excel format.
