Any ideas for how to create Scrum/Kanban boards at the time of project creation?

Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas on how we could create Scrum and Kanban boards at the same time that we create a new project? We have to create a lot of projects and set up the boards for users often with the same setup each time so being able to automate the process maybe with some scripting or a plugin would be a big help and time saver!

Please let me know of any ideas

If you use the Scrum or Kanban project templates, you get that type of board with them automatically. 

I'm guessing you probably want to customise these for some reason?  You'll need some scripting or automation apps to do that.

Is it possible to create our own project templates complete with boards as well?

We currently have a template that we use so that all new projects inherit the same workflows, permissions etc and then we tailor it from there for how our users need. If we could template the boards as well then that would be useful.

Yes, if you are willing to code for it - you'll need to write a "plugin" that provides them.  I believe you can do some board templating in them, but I'm not sure (I know you can define a workflow though, which will feed into the board)

Another option might be to have your template project and board (that's only used as a template), and use one of the apps on the marketplace to copy it when you need a new project/board.
