Forgive me for the very simple question, but I've exhausted my search for this answer.
I understand that Automation for JIRA is being built into the core product, but are we still able to install the app in our cloud instance during this transition?
When I try to search for it in the app store, it does not appear in search results.
If I visit the Automation for JIRA Marketplace page here, the only hosting options are Server and Data Centre even though the Atlassian guide lists it with Cloud as an option.
The app was removed from Marketplace and is now part of Jira Cloud. You should see it if you go to Project settings > Project automation, or Jira settings > System > Automation rules.
Thanks Mikael,
I don't seem to see those options - would there be any steps that I need to do first to unlock these options?

You need to be either Project admin or Jira admin in order to see these options.

I am the admin.
I believe it's supposed to appear between security and user interface, but it isn't shown in our settings.

It should be further down, almost at the bottom of the list:

If you do not see it, it should be available this week according to this thread: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Automation-for-Jira-Cloud/qaq-p/1281555#M67951
I am an existing Automation customer, but I also have it available in a brand new instance that I set up last week.

Reached out to JIRA and actually got it last night - it was roll-out timing.
Thanks for your help!

Mikael, do you know when this will be rolled into JIRA Server and JIRA Data Server?

@Chris Mitchell I have not seen any plans on integrating Automation the same way on Server/DC, the app is still available on Marketplace for those instances. My guess is that it will either stay that way or they do something similar to Jira Software which was a separate app.
