I have an automation rule that sends a message to a slack channel. The message it sends uses Jira smart values to pull from different fields on the ticket and some of those fields are user picker fields. When the message is posted in slack, it is posting the account ID number of the user from that user picker field instead of the user name. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Please share screenshot of the rule to help understand what smart value you are referring to.
But usually, for user picker field, if you dont specify any qualifications, by default you get account id.
You can specify display name as {{approver.displayName}} if {{approver}} is your smart value of the user.
