Hi all,
I've created an automation that sends a comment to an approver via the "Issue Transitioned" trigger from "Quote Needed" to "Waiting For Approval". I've confirmed that this transition has the "Generic Event" post function, so the situation in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-22466 does not apply.
The automation works when using a manual trigger, but it does not fire or enter the audit log with the "Issue Transitioned" trigger.
Any insight on how to resolve this? Googling around, the only answers I'm finding refer to making sure the "Generic Event" post function of the triggering transition exists.
Hello @Lucinda Stroud ,
Can you please try to click on this check box, and try once.
if you are using 2 automations.
One automation will trigger to another automation.
Thanks,
Anvesh
Hi Anvesh,
I don't need this rule to respond to another automation; it should just respond to transitioning the issue to another status. Does the native ability to transition an issue to another status count as an automation?

Hi @Kagithala Babu Anvesh this worked! it seems counterintuitive since the trigger isn't responding to another automation but glad to know this trick now.
