Board Column Management

Hello,

Is there a way to order the statuses when there are multiple in a column?

In the pic below changing the vertical order of shipped and closed within the done column doesn't change the view of those when dragging and dropping (transitioning) issues on the Kanban board.  I thought it might have been alphabetical so I changed the transition name to "Vanquished" for the Closed state :) but that didn't work.

I have successfully rearranged statuses with the opsbar-sequence property but don't see a solution for drag and drop?

Thanks,

Dale

Hi Dale,

No, the ranking system used by the boards is very complicated, and I confess I don't really understand it. But one thing I have noticed is that the ranking seems to somehow be tied to when the card first comes onto the board. Not sure that is really correct or that I could prove it, but that's how it appears to me.

So even though you have the statuses one on top of the other, the cards are independent of the status when they come into the column.

Sorry, but that's the best I can tell you from my experience.

Thanks John.

Honestly glad I just wasn't overlooking something obvious.  I thought there might be some secret property value because it's not the states that appear there but the workflow transition names.  I'll leave this open for a bit to see if anyone else has thoughts (Atlassian?) :)

I should also add that I fully understand that the correct way to do this is one completed state making use of two resolutions.  However, the customer in this case completes 99% of their issues with the same "resolution" so they don't want to be taxed with one extra resolution field for most of their issues.  That's also why I want the secondary "1% of the time" state to show up below the other.

Regards,

Dale
