Is it possible to have a board with kanban and scrum tickets displayed on it. Our team is working on a scrum development project but also support which is using kanban. I've created a kanban board based on a filter to hopefully show them both but it doesn't show the scrum items. If I just run my filter all the correct tickets show up.
I'm thinking maybe it's a rule in JIRA that it can't display kanban tickets on a scrum board and visa versa. It makes sense but I was thinking maybe there is a workaround using a board to display everything for the team.
Hey @Jason Burdey ,
a board is just a visual representation of issues. So your board filter depends on what you pull into the board and display there. So the type of board you create (Scrum or Kanban) will dictate the features available but issues "don't care". They exist in their (classic) projects and not on boards. Maybe we have to check your configuration because I just tried to reproduce your problem and pulled multiple projects into different kinds of boards and the issues were always displayed as expected. Does maybe your Kanban board sub-filter exclude the issues? Does this answer your question? :)
Best, Max
Hi,
Thanks for the response. I should mention that one project (Scrum) is next gen and the other project (Kanban) is classic. Not sure if that matters at all?

Hey Jason, add the project to the filter, map the statuses to columns and the issues should appear on your board. Simply give it a try. :)

Tried it and no matter what the Scrum Next Gen tickets won't show up even if they are in the right columns. If I click on the filter issues from both projects display. Very weird.

I tried it with a (classic) Kanban board to pull issues from the two types of classic Software projects and the two Next-gen software projects onto a single board and all issues were displayed. So please check again the mapping of the columns, filter shares, maybe try it without a Kanban sub-filter. :)
