I am experiencing issues disappearing from the team board. The project is a business project, the items missing from the board are visible in the all issue filter and there are not status changes on the issues which are not visible in the board.
I would appreciate support on this issue as we rely on the board to review the tasks and their progress.
With thanks
Hi Sandra,
What is happening in your instance is actually a feature from Jira, you can check on Working with boards.
By default, items are listed in the order of oldest to newest by creation date.
Issues disappear from the last column after 14 days of inactivity. Select the link at the bottom of this column to see them again.
The board can display up to 1,000 issues
Also, this functionality you requested is not available on Jira.
We have a feature request suggesting the implementation of such ability:
Please, make sure to watch and vote to receive updates about the feature.
As workaround:
1 - Bulk clone these issues (and delete the previous ones or not) to have created dates < 14 days.
2 - Create a new Software project with a Software Board and move these issue to the new software project to overpass the core board restrictions and get the software board customizations available,
The information above was taken from the ticket that you opened with us regarding the same issue.
If you have any other question, please let us know.
Regards,
Angélica
Thank you for your reply.
In actual fact there is a discrepancy with the documentation and the implementation. The documentation states "Issues disappear from the last column after 14 days of inactivity. Select the link at the bottom of this column to see them again.". In actual fact the issues disappear from the board totally - regardless which column they are in after 14 days. So, it is my understanding that this is a BUG and not a "works as designed". I have voted for the JRACLOUD-68260 and hope that this bug will be fixed asap.
Regards
Sandra
