Can I add sub-tasks under a bug scheme?

Michele Daigle March 18, 2022

We are working with a partner who wants me to add sub-bug under the bug screen. I cannot find a way to do that. Any time I create an issue it automatically puts the sub-field under the default scheme. I've considered changing the default scheme to the bug scheme for a minute and adding the sub-bug then, but I'm afraid it will nest all sub-tasks under it from that point.

You can create a new sub-task issue type to work around this. Once the new sub-task issue type is created you can treat it like any other issue type with the field configs, workflows, screens, etc.

This will allow you to keep the regular sub-tasks in their original workflow and other areas.

I did create a new sub-task issue type but cannot find a way to put it into the bug scheme. It defaults under the scrum scheme and I cannot find a way to move it.

Which type of scheme are you trying to do? Screen? Field? Workflow?

I've created a sub-task named Sub-Bug. When creating a sub-task it automatically assigns it to the Default Scheme, no choice is given to put it in the Bug Scheme. The bug scheme and the default scheme have different screens/fields in them, which is why they want sub-bug listed under the bug scheme and not the default scheme.
