Can't find JIra update check in Manage App in Jira

Make sure your apps are compatible with the new version, so they keep working after the upgrade. You'll need to disable all incompatible apps as they might affect the upgrade.

1. Go to  > Manage apps.
2. Scroll down past the list of apps from Atlassian Marketplace, and click JIRA update check.
3. Select a version you want to upgrade to, and click Check.

But I can't find Manage apps option by going to settings icon on Jira 7.6.

As I'm updating Jira from 7.9 to 8.20 is there any other ways to check Jira app compatibility.

Did you update UPM?

Does your Jira access the marketplace?

It's possible that this is due to your Jira version not being supported anymore https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftware/jira-software-7-6-x-release-notes-938027181.html

If you don't have a lot of plugins, I suggest you check directly in the marketplace as you will see the compatibility with the version of Jira you are aiming for.

I would suggest to upgrade to the latest LTS version.

We are planning to jira server(7.9.2) to jira datacenter..

Did you update UPM?-----UPM is there and updated

First ,we are planning to move jira server (7.9 to 8.20) and then migrating to datacenter

but need to checks compatability -->jira updade check option not visible....

Alright, it might be a bug. You can either ask https://support.atlassian.com or as mentioned above check yourself for each plugin the compatibility in 8.20.

Be careful some plugins like Script Runner need some review between platform upgrade and some plugins which were might have been free are not anymore.
