Cannot link epic getting error "epic does not exist"

I have one particular epic that I cannot link storys to.  I try the ID and the name but it states that it does not exist.  As you can see the epic is very much valid. EpicLink.PNGEpic_pic.PNG

Also this epic was working previously and has many linked stories to it.

That's weird. 
Can you update a field on the epic? Just to see if that works and doesn't show you any other error.
