×Hi all,
we are working to upgrade jira (from 6.4)
Now that is the question: what should I choose between jira software and jira core?
We use jira both for administering projects, manage final customare feedback (in the future we will buy also jira service desk and confluence) and also to follow the software development.
Unfortunatly my company is not pretty much agile or scrum so I'm asking if Jira Softare will force user to always have a look and feel "agile" with boards or I can configure it by Administration.
I also want to know which type of projects and workflows are aviable in one version or in another to evaluate which one chose. I try to find out but I find onlyl a confluence article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/jira-applications-overview-939938990.html?_ga=2.108149441.21339277.1521017851-1634324360.1521017851 not exaustive.
So please help me!
Answering which you should choose is not easy to do based upon the information you have provided. I will say there is a lot of reading material on Atlassian's support site to help w/ this. Having said that if you plan to do any SW development I would most certainly go w/ JSW over core. JSW isn't 'all' about agile even though that is arguably the most leveraged aspect of the application. Core is really best suited for simply project management workflows. Here is an article that might also help.
