When a customer opens a Service Request in JSM, we automatically create a bug ticket in our JIRA Software project using Automation. Can I assign this bug issue on the JIRA Software project to a user who is only available on that project? Also based on the "Request Type" on the JSM.
Thank you @John Funk and @Stevan Mandić
The following is a screenshot of my Rule. Under select a user, it doesn't show me the list of users of the Target Project. It just shows the following options and myself in the end. All users on the Target Jira Project are Admins of that project. So have all permissions.

Hi Clement
Yes you can assign the Bug to a user who only has access to the project in which the Bug was created. Assuming the user has the Assignable User permission.

Did you start typing the person's name?

Okay, instead of doing an Assign issue action (delete that) and just add the Assignee field to the Clone issue action and see if you can select a name there.

Hi Clement
+1 on what John just shared above.
If you can't see any user in the automation, you might be missing the Browse users and groups global permission in Jira software.
You can read about global permissions here

Hi @Lígia Zanchet
Both myself the rule owner and the users on the Target Project belong to a group called jira-software-users and this group has Browse users and groups global permission.

@Clement when you create bug directly in jira sofware project, can you assign it to that user?
Is user agent on that project - is user added to project settings/people with the role of Service desk team?

@Clement say you have user A and user B. And 2 request type: request A and request B
And you want to cover these scenarios:
automation (multiproject rule)
1. Trigger: issue created
2.Condition: project = JSM project
3 if/else condition: if Request type"= "Request type A"
3.1. action: create issue in JS project, bug
Edit fields:
summary- copy from trigger issue
Assignee - user A
4. else if condition: "Request type" = "request type B"
4.1. action: create issue in JS project, bug
Edit fields:
summary- copy from trigger issue
Assignee - user B
