Hi
I have a 'Completed' stage in one of my workflows. A user has transitioned an issue to this stage and we need to resurrect it.
However, I can't seem to be able to add a transition away from this completed stage in the workflow. Is this possible? If not, is there another way to set the status back to another in the same workflow without a transition?
Thanks in advance
Mark
Hello @Mark K
Yes, it's possible to add a transition away from a 'Completed' stage in your workflow. If you are unable to add the transition directly, here are some steps you can follow:
Edit the Workflow: Go to your workflow editor and select the workflow where the 'Completed' stage is defined.
Add a Transition: You should be able to add a new transition from the 'Completed' status to another status in the workflow. Simply drag a transition line from 'Completed' to the desired status.
Publish the Workflow: After making changes, make sure to publish the updated workflow.
Let me know if you need any further help!
Thanks,

Hi Shreeja
This is in the Cloud version. The Completed status is an auto-generated status created when the workflow was created. Jira SM won't allow me add a transition away from it.
My best option would be to just be able to change the status the particular issue is sitting at, but I can't see any way to do that.
If I can figure that out, I can move anything that's sat on that Completed status, then remove it, or any transitions to it.

You can say:
Hello @Mark K
Thanks for the clarification. Since the 'Completed' status in Jira Cloud is auto-generated and doesn’t allow adding a transition away from it, you can use the Bulk Edit feature. If you have the necessary permissions, this option lets you change the status of multiple issues from 'Completed' to another status manually, without needing to add a transition.
Thanks,
