Hi!
Is it possible to connect/integrate an external Confluence space to our Jira Software Project? Our setup is that our customer has a Confluence space that is not in our own Jira instance, we would like to connect them if that is possible?
We are the suppliers of their mobile application and our company has it's own Jira for this and not the customer. They use their Confluence space for documentation of their business and systems.
Or would it simply be better to migrate our Jira project to their own instance?
Best regards,
Oskar
You can try setting an Application link between the 2 instances. I dont think you need to migrate or move your instance.
@Krishnanand Nayak I'm trying that now:
You are creating a link from:
Display URL: customer.atlassian.net
Application URL: customer.atlassian.net
Name: JIRA
Application: JIRA
To this application:
Display URL: supplier.atlassian.net
Application URL: supplier.atlassian.net
Name: JIRA
Application: JIRA
But I only want to link the customers Application: Confluence. Or is the customers Confluence included in their JIRA application?
*EDIT*
I seem to have forgotten to add:
/wiki
to the customers Atlassian instance

I'm an administrator at my customers Confluence and at our own JIRA, but I get the error message:
We can't connect with Confluence because a reciprocal application link is missing on that server. You'll need to delete and then re-create this application link. Only an administrator has access to this resource.

it will just link. The following things will happen:
Jira: You can add a confluence page as a link to the Jira issue
Customer Confluence: you will be able to display related Jira issues
Is this what you are expecting?

Login to confluence and follow the same steps you did on Jira.

Hm I'm not allowed to add application links in my customers Confluence space despite being an administrator.

Looks like I have to be " System Administrator", not just Confluence administrator.

Then you might want to reachout to the sysadmin for you customer and see if they can help.

So I'm almost there! I've linked the customers Confluence with our Jira project and I can link issues to pages in my customers Confluence space.
But in our Jira project I can't connect their space to our Jira project.
I've followed these steps:

Seems there is an open bug reported for this issue. I will mark your answer as accepted since your solution was correct!
