×Hi,
I'm trying to set up copying of projects from a template project in a Jira Cloud Service Desk instance, so that we can bring over a complex set of issue types, SLAs, and the like. I've installed Scriptrunner and the Cloud version does not have the Copy Project built-in script. Am I missing something?
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your question.
I can confirm that the same built-in scripts which the server version contains are currently not possible inside of ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud
The reason for this is due to the fact there are some significant differences between ScriptRunner for Cloud vs Server based on restrictions within the Atlassian Cloud platform as described inside of the documentation page here.
Currently, Atlassian does not provide enough of the REST APIs that we need in order to implement this built-in Scripts that the server version of the add-on includes and you can see the built-in scripts which are currently included inside of the documentation page here.
Unfortunately, this means that we are unable to provide the same Copy Projects built-in script between the server and cloud versions of the add-on.
If this response has answered your question can you please mark it as accepted so that other users can see it is correct when searching for similar answers.
Regards,
Kristian
Hi Kristian. It's been over a year now since you noted this issue with Atlassian.
Is this still a limitation?
I don't want to share configurations with my current Service Desk.
Thanks,
David Meyer

Hi David,
I can confirm that currently we are still unable to offer the Copy Project script inside of ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud but that we are looking at ways to do this in future and would advise watching the plugins documentation pages to see if this feature is added in future.

Kristian
