Custom fields - Required problems

Hello everybody,
here's our problem in Jira:

We have created a custom field with checkboxes. This selection should be a "Required field". This has been set so far. Field configurations -> Required -> and here I just selected the project /screens where it should be set. But that should only apply to one project.

The problem now is that if I want to create a task in the other project an error message is displayed that this Required field has not been filled in.

Under "Workflows" we have all projects under one workflow.

Hi Marc, 

Contexts are applied to show different values in different projects for the same custom field.

Creating a new field configuration, as suggested by Pedro, and applying it to the specific project is the most appropriate way to resolve this requirement.

You should copy you field configuration and apply the field configuration with the new required field to the project that is needed. 

All the other project should have the field configuration without the required field.

Hello Pedro,

thanks for your quick answer - but we solved the problem differently:

"Custom fields" -> Available Contexts -> Apply to issues under selected projects-> and there select only the specific project.
