Deleting custom field context

What is the impact of deleting an unused custom field context? Since deleting a context requires a re-index, is it better for the health of the system to delete or leave it there?

Hi @SockBlocker  - What do you mean by "an unused context"? 

Regardless, I think it is always better for system health to have a context if you can.

In this case the context was created for a specific project, but now the project is using a different context. So this is a context not associated with any project.

Then I would delete that context, but keep the other context attached to the project.

Hi @SockBlocker ,

• is it a global context or one limited to x projects?
• what kind of field type is it?
• if the field is only used in one or a few projects, you can reindex only these projects. Then you don't have to make a global reindex.
