Hi Community,

I'm currently facing a challenge in my organization regarding the deactivation of certain features in our Atlassian Cloud instance. Our workers council has mandated that certain functionalities, such as report exporting, be disabled due to privacy and security concerns.

As an administrator, I'm seeking guidance on how to effectively disable these unauthorized features in our Atlassian Cloud environment. Specifically, I'm looking for insights or best practices on how to achieve this while ensuring compliance with our organization's policies.

If anyone in the community has experience or knowledge in this area, I would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations you can provide.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards,

Hi @Eduard Diez

which reports/exports exactly are supposed to be disabled?

Eduardo Diez April 11, 2024

Hi @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_

Thank you for your prompt response!

The reports/exports that we are looking to disable primarily include any functionality that allows users to export sensitive data outside of our Atlassian Cloud environment. This includes exporting issue details, project overviews, or any other data that may contain confidential information.

If you have any insights or recommendations on how to achieve this effectively within the Atlassian Cloud platform, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thank you for your assistance!

@Eduard Diez there is no option to restrict Export at the moment on any level. There are open feature requests like this one: [JRACLOUD-74232] Restrict the option to export Issues - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

You can upvote that but there's often not much progress on these kind of features unfortunately.
