Hi,

I can not create a new JIRA Project:

ice: An error occurred while notifying that a project was created
java.lang.RuntimeException: An error occurred while notifying that a project was created

I restarted already the application. This is our test enviroment, and we did an xml import from production a while ago, I can't really say if it had worked since that import, we use it so rarely.

I have V8.13.13

Many thanks!

Loredana

Hey @Loredana

What DB is being used for Jira ?

There is a kb on the error you are facing here https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/unknown-error-or-nullpointerexception-when-creating-a-project-in-jira-server-849170381.html

Also a solved answer here where it is mentioned with postgresql DB with other than public scheme used https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Unable-to-create-a-new-project-in-Jira-SW/qaq-p/163011

bug reported here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-64886

Please check logs and accordingly take an action.

I would also suggest you to open a case with Atlassian Support so that they can investigate on this.

Vishwas

Strange... I can't open an issue with Atlassian Support, I get only directed to the atlassian community...

JIRA_Issue.PNG

And the select from schemepermissions doesn't return anything.

Looks like you are on starter pack, hence it is redirecting to community support.

This one select from schemepermissions how did you run ? can you send screenshot.

I would also suggest you to once again do xml backup restore(same backup) on test and run re-index. see if that fixes the issue.

Or else we may have to start looking at log files to see the exact issue.

Hi Vishwas,
it is our testing environment with just 10 Users, but we did get support in the past for it..
I guess because it's JIRA Server, they no longer support.
I selected like this:
JIRA_Issue_select.PNG
I guess the only option is to import the production xml again.
We don't have the ressources atm to do this.
Can I put this question on pending?

Hey @Loredana

That's correct starter packs aren't supported.

I see the query and results, if nothing is shown then you are not affected by the issue as mentioned in resolution kb.

Yes do the XML backup once again when the prod site is not being used. sometimes XML backups get corrupted hence issues will arise.

I would suggest instead of dong new XML backup. You have old xml backup file rite. Do the restore with the same thing and reindex. Sometimes that will also do the trick
