Whenever I open up the board, it shows all issues by default. But many times I just want to see the issues that are assigned to me.
Is there a button that filters out the Board so that it only shows tickets assigned to me?
Is there a URL so I can save a bookmark to that state?
The only thing I've found takes me to the issues filter/search. But that's not what I want, I want to see the board.
Is that feature there and I'm just missing it? Is there a reason they don't make it obvious?
Yes. Actually that is a common quick filter on most boards I have in place. If it isn’t on your board all you have to do is add it via Board Settings > Quick filters and add the following:
name = my issues
filter = assignee = currentuser()
Thanks, that sounds like it will do what I want to do. I'm surprised my board didn't already have that quick filter. That sounds like the type of thing that should be a default quick filter that comes with every new board. Is it? If not, JIRA should make it a quick filter that comes with every new board.

Ya know.... I bet the board probably came with that as a default Quick Filter when it was new. And maybe someone on the team deleted it at some point. And that would explain why my team's board didn't have it. Because all the other boards have it. ("Only My Issues")

Just found out that you also can click on your picture (left from the search field) and it will filter on that person assignments. Not the easiest UX I've seen, but it works
