Did you mean:

Grant access to only one project

Priska Maurer December 10, 2019

Fellow Jira lovers

I would like to give an external user of our company access to just one project within our Jira.

I did actually everything (or probably not) which is in the community available.

I have a new project, new permission scheme, new user group. The user group is assigned to the permission scheme and the permission scheme to the project.

The user in this case is linked to the user group which shall only have access to this project.

When I log in with this user I do not see the project.
So probably I missed one step somewhere in between, but I cannot figure out which one.

I hope you can help me. Many thanks

Priska

Quickest way to find out would to be to use the Permission helper:

Settings --> System --> Admin Helper --> Permission helper

@O Thanks for the hint, I did not yet know that function. For sure a cool one.
But I cannot even find issues from my project in the permission helper...

Hi @Priska Maurer

Just wanted to confirm with you that by 'The user group is assigned to the permission scheme' -> you mean that the user group is granted browse issues permission.

Hi @Fazila Ashraf

Yes I granted Browse Project, and all the create, edit, Issue permissions as well.
