In my current process, I have a group of managers review the backlog and prioritize items using numeric list 1- 10 (including decimal places, i.e. 9.8....). This is all tracked in a Google Sheet and we take the average of all prioritizations and that becomes the issue priority.
I would like to transition this all to be used within Jira, however, I have yet to determine a good way to do this.
Any suggestions (plugins) which will allow multiple users to specify a float value and calculate an average? (This can work similar to Voting, except each users would enter their numeric priority, and we can then calculate the average off of).
Any tips on how to best accomplish this, would be much appreciated.
You'll need one of the scripting or automation apps (I'd suggest Scriptrunner as the most powerful and flexible one, and because I work for the vendor and hence have the most experience with it).
Create the numeric fields to capture the numbers people put in, then use the scripting app to create another filed that shows the results of your calculations.
Thanks Nic. How can I make a field that will allow multiple users to specify their rating, without making the same rating field multiple times for different users?

You don't - you'll need a set of separate fields.
