How can I make a workflow from inactive to active

Sejal Modi April 22, 2019

How can I make a workflow from inactive status to active status.  I have tried everything and read other people's comments but nothing seems to be working.  I need to make this active ASAP.

@Sejal Modi

Use the workflow in some project.

Select your project, click on workflow scheme and add the inactive workflow for the relevant issue types. This is how to replace the old workflow with the new one.

Not sure what that means.

@Sejal Modi

Associate inactive workflow with your project's workflow schema.

You need to be a JIRA administrator? If you're just a project administrator you can't assign a workflow scheme that includes the workflow you want.

I got it to work but not sure how I got it working.

When you create a workflow it will be in inactive state because it was not associated with any project. When you add your workflow to one of the project's workflow schema, the state of workflow will changes to active because now it is associated with one project.
