Hi ,
We are creating multiple subtasks under parent issue type in jira. All the issuekeys are in format like Parent CT-10, Subtasks CT-11,CT-12,CT-13 etc.,
But we are expecting the subtasks like CT-10-1 (or) CT-10.1, CT10-2 (or) CT-10.2 etc.,
Could you please assist how to customize the subtasks issuekey into expected format
It is not possible to do so. You can identify the subtask from the issue type name.
Is there a reason why you would want the . values?
We want to have a new look of subtasks created like Index

Ah ok.. but note that it is not feasible in JIRA 🙂

Issue keys are generated in order within a project regardless if it is a task or sub-task as they are all issues in the project. There is no way for you to change this since it is how Jira uniquely identifies an issue.
