Dan Bolser May 15, 2020

Hi, Is it possible to create a report like this:

Quick filter: Person or Status or Epic

Person

* Epic x
** Issue 1  (name, sprint, status, ...)
** Issue 2  (name, sprint, status, ...)
** Issue 3  (name, sprint, status, ...)
** Issue 4  (name, sprint, status, ...)
** Issue 5  (name, sprint, status, ...)
*** Issue 6 (name, sprint, status, ...)
*** Issue 7 (name, sprint, status, ...)
*** Issue 8 (name, sprint, status, ...)
** Issue 9  (name, sprint, status, ...)

* Epic y

Dan

Is "name" the summary?

You can do this in VisualScript for Jira in many different ways.

You can have a grid where the top row is Epic, and stories underneath with values.  These can be shapes per issue with the data in them, or just the data itself in the cells.

You can also have the first column be Epics, and the columns to the right be shapes of issues in columns by status or sprint.

Hope this helps.

FYI I work on the VisualScript product team.

Best

Thanks Evan, Can you point me at where to get started? I never even heard of VisualScript before...

Sure thing Dan.  It is and app available right in the Atlassian marketplace.

Ahh... I thought it was part of Jira... How much does it cost?

All pricing is right in the marketplace app link I sent above.  In marketplace pricing is based off of user tier like the pricing for Atlassian tools.

There are a lot of great apps in the marketplace that can provide a lot of functionality that might not be available in out of the box Jira. You can likely find 1-2 options for most use cases.
