This has never happened to me before, but I've never used the Cloud version of Jira either so I knew I could get my data back if anything happened.
I created multiple projects and issues within those projects over the last few days and no all of the new things added since Oct. 9 are gone!
What happened? How do I contact Support? I can't even find that easily?
Help!
@Ann Rumney, just to be sure here, are you sure they are truly deleted? How are you searching for them?
Hi Ann,
Do you know if there's a previously generated backup from your instance before the items were deleted? If so, support can help you recover this data. You can reach out to the Atlassian Support on this link.
You can probably find more information about what happened and who made the changes by checking the Audit Log of your instance. If you'd like to know more about what information is stored that, please check out this documentation.
Let me know if you have any questions about this.
Cheers,
Matt

I would have thought that since it's a cloud service that a backup would be made automatically? Is this not the case? I have not manually generated any form of backup at all.
I have checked the Audit log as well and it doesn't indicate any of the missing issues at all.

Ann,
I'm afraid that per the Data storage FAQ doc, backups are not supported to rollback changes, but I'd recommend you the get in touch with their support for they'll have more insight on this and check if there are any workarounds available.
Do you know if any other admin of the instance generated a backup before the changes?
I'm sorry that I can't help you more with this, but do let me know if have any other questions.
