I just started using Jira today and I created a filter.
My navigation bar doesn't have a "Filters" drop down.
How do I add it?
I have seen two other posts reporting that the Filters and Dashboards menu items were missing for newly create Jira sites.
In the first case when the user checked the next day, the options were present.
I am going to tag this post for escalation to Atlassian team members.
Thank you. That's great that you'll escalate to Atlassian.
I'm glad it's not just me and that perhaps tomorrow, I'll see the two menu items.

Hi @Gilbert Figueroa , welcome to the community and thanks for your question. I agree with @Nikola Perisic that this is strange.
You could also try to get back to your filter by checking the 'Your work' and then 'Recent' tab to see in which issues / projects and boards you were working.
Keep us posted if you don't find a solution to this and we'll try to help.
Cheers

This looks like a bug, it shouldn't be like this, since it was coded to be this way.

I may have created the "Filter" incorrectly or not saved it properly. I did look in my Recent history and didn't find it. This is where I created the filter.

Hi @Gilbert Figueroa , thanks for the screenshot. This is a filter inside of a team-managed project, correct?
Anything you create in a team-managed project, as opposed to a company-managed project, is local / not applicable to the rest of the Jira instance. This might also explain why you don't see Filters in the menu, if you are only added to a team-managed project as a member / viewer and not someone who has a full Jira Software license. Can you talk to someone in your company about your access please? Like a Jira administrator?

Hi everyone,
We have had a few reports of newly created sites that are missing the Filters/Dashboards option in the top nav bar. As such we have a new bug for this in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-83418
I would recommend watching that ticket for updates.

I created a support case on your behalf over in https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/23/JST-983278
From there, our support team can investigate this further.

Andy

Welcome to the community @Gilbert Figueroa
This is a strange behaviour for sure. Try using a different browser and also try starting in the incognito mode.

I was using FireFox and tried it in Chrome and still having the same problem.
