How to stop issues from transitioning if they begin with a prefix and having a custom field empty

Boluwatife Adewole August 20, 2024

Hello,

I want to stop issues beginning with a certain text from being transitioned to the testing column, if a certain custom URL field isn't filled. As an example,  I created some tickets for my backend team beginning with BE and they are supposed to provide their API URL before their issue can be moved to testing.

I tried the field validation rule for transitions, but the custom field isn't an option.

Is there another way to go about this? I read the posts about rules and see I can't use those.field validation.png

Hi @Boluwatife Adewole

Please switch back to the old WF editor.

This should provide you with more options

Hi @Boluwatife Adewole

By the way are you in team or company managed project?

In a team managed project, you are not able to use any extra fields you created in WF restrictions.

You would need to switch to a company managed project.

Looking at your screenshot you are using a team managed project.
