I'm trying to delete a classic software project and the action fails.
I had it synced to another Jira address and thought that might be the issue but the issue remains even after I stop and delete the sync.
Hello Adam,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
Checking the details of your site, I can see that you are not a Jira administrator, and in order to move projects to trash, this permission is required.
Can you please check with your administrator if you have the correct permissions?
If the issue persists, can you open the developer tools on your browser and check if it shows any additional information on the console tab?
Regards,
Angélica
I'm also experiencing this issue with one specific project. I'm the site administrator for our organization.

Hello Melissa,
Thank you for reaching out to Community!
In order to delete projects or move it to the trash, it's also necessary to be a project administrator.
When you are a site administrator and a Jira administrator it means that you can manage users and manage Jira settings, so you can add yourself to the project.
Please, confirm on Project settings > Access (Next-gen) or Project settings > People (Classic) and confirm if you were added as an administrator. If not, please add this role to your account.
Regards,
Angélica
