Instructions to have an Issue Checklist automatically appear on a specific Issue type

Hello, I am new. The stock Jira checklist shows only a certain number of characters in the issues, so I am trying Issue Checklist. I would like to have a bunch of read-only Issue Checklists appear on a specific Issue type creation, so the checklists with their pre-written checklist options shows up automatically when a new Issue of that type is created.

I have checked the documentation, but I'm not sure if what I'm reading applies.

Hi @David Thomson

my name is Gracjan, and I'm a Customer Success Expert at HeroCoders, the team behind the Issue Checklist app.

The easiest way to achieve that is by using Default Templates.

To do that, please go to the Checklist Tab that can be found in the left navigation bar:

Create a Checklist Template, and set it as default with a button available next to your newly created checklist.

In the next step, you can choose in which issue type this checklist should be automatically applied.IssueType.png

I hope that clarifies your request. In case you have any other you can contact us through our Contact Center here.

Cheers!

Gracjan
