I am wondering if Jira Core would be suitable for a use-case at our charity.
We have a process of onboarding partners (internationally). They need to initially complete/submit a dozen or so documents, then we perform our due diligence checks, approve and begin a project with them.
Each project would have a basic workflow: partner proposes project, we perform due diligence, we approve/reject the project, if rejected we discontinue, if approved we request invoice, make payment.
After that, each project would have a custom workflow to track progress (e.g. after 3 months submit 50 photos, submit video footage, expense report, etc.)
Now, is Jira Core suitable for this? And can we involve Partners inside the system so they can login and submit the necessary files to be onboarded as a partner, and then submit project updates (upload data, complete forms, etc.)?
Many thanks for any assistance.
P.s. this is self-hosted instance.
Hi @Abdullah_Fahim in muy opinion Jira Core fits with your need. Definetely you don't need Jira Software and Jira Service Desk will be only needed in case that you need to interact with petitions from outside of your organization (or IT needs).
You can start with a basic workflow and permissions for your teams and then step by step getting into a more complex configuration, but always try to keep it simple.

David
Thank you very much, David. I am in early stages of planning so there's a lot to think about.
I will definitely need partners (external to the charity, all over the world), to work directly with the system. So I'm hoping I can figure out permissions and workflows to manage all of that securely and efficiently.
First build will be a build just for internal team so this isn't too difficult. Second build is where we want to bring partners inside the system so they can stop emailing us and reduce administrative work/headache for everyone :)
