Currently, we have an add-on called Herzum that allows us to have multiple approvers for a Jira issue before it can be closed. We use this to approve changes made to our infrastructure or architecture. However, we are trying to decide if spending the money to renew this add-on is worth it or if we can use the "out-of-the box" approval process with Jira.
Question:
Does Jira Service Management or Jira Data Center have an approval process that allows multiple approvers per ticket? Everything that I've found indicates that this feature is available...but for Cloud-only. (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/add-an-approval-to-a-workflow/)
We are running Jira Data Center, version 8.20.10 and Jira Service Management version 4.20.10 hosted in AWS.
What I am looking for is a way to create this process without spending additional money (e.g., spending money on an add-on).
Thank you.
Hi @Jeramy S
The approval workflow is out of the box on Jira Service Management, the Cloud and Server version, but it is not on Jira Software.
Here is the documentation for the approval workflow on your JSM version.
In order to have it on Jira Software, you would need a plugin like you already have.
Kindly review my comment and let me know if you have further questions.

David
Hi @David Freitez ,
I saw that link before, but I got confused when it said Data Center/Server 5.1. To me that meant it only went to Data Center 5.1, not 8.20. However, if that is for Service Management, then we do have a supported version. Thank you for the clarification. I'll re-read this topic to see if I missed a step.
Thank you.
