I have a filter set up in JIRA that I subscribe to and receive emails for when there are results. I'm trying to figure out a way to have this filter subscription notify a Slack channel instead of send an email, but it doesn't seem like there is an integration for this. I've looked at the official JIRA/Slack integrations and there doesn't seem to be a way. Does anyone know if an integration exists for this functionality?
Hello Jeff,
Unfortunately, I think there is no way to send the notifications directly from a filter subscription to a Slack channel, however, the plugin Slack JIRA Integration provide you the option to filter notifications by priority, component, resolution, labels, status, type, assignee, reporter, epic, and sprint.
Please, let me know if this option would at least provide you with some of the functionalities you need.
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, the functionality that you mentioned in the existing integration does not help. As far as I can tell there is not a direct way to do what I'm asking without adding some type of option in the filter subscription to send to a Slack channel instead of an email.

Hello Jeff,
A possible workaround would be to configure the Slack address to your filter subscription, so the e-mail could be sent and stored in Slack.
Please, check the documentation below to know how you could do it:

+1 on this. Workaround suggested doesn't work if your organization is locked down to single sign on, with limited licenses for a generic JIRA user to utilize with the Slack email address

Now that Slack is planning to retire the Slack notification incoming email addresses, what is our alternative in the future?

I created personal subscription and forwarded it to slack channel from my account
