Issues show up as added after sprint start even though they are added before

Hitesh Shah March 22, 2018

I have added few stories in the Sprint before I started this sprint. However, few stories are shown with star next to them showing as if they were added in the sprint after the sprint was started. I am pretty certain that the tickets were added before I started the sprint. Is there any logic behind this?

Any idea or inputs on this will be highly appreciated...

I had the same problem and in my case the problem was the registered time for sprint start. I changed the time to a time after all changes had been made and fixed the problem.

Thanks Fabio. This is the right approach and that is how jira works. So, if someone adds the stories to a sprint on a date/time N and changes the date/time back to N-1, Jira considers that a scope change. You also won't see anything in Velocity as committed stories if the date is changed to a back date.

Hi @Hitesh Shah,

You may want to look at the Burndown Chart as it records any scope change with 'Issue added to sprint' in event details. This may give you more information as to the cause. Apologies that I cannot offer you a solution.

Hope this helps.
