Hello,
I have a question and think that someone can help me ;-)
We are using JIRA Software and would like send passwords to costumers.
Is there a possibility (maybe with a plugin) to restrict comments to certain users f.e. the author of the task?
Or is there a simple plugin to send messages to the costumers? Something which is small and not to expansive.
I'm looking forward to your suggestions.
Julian
@Müller_ JulianSure, update the permission scheme in the project setting so that users have no permissions to comment.
Best!
@Moses ThomasThanks a lot for your answer, but I think you did not understand me. My description was bad i think :( I don't want to restrict the possibility to comment, I want to restrict the visibility, so that only the author (or another person) can view the comment.
With this feature, I could give passwords to costumers.

@Müller_ JulianBest way is to use issue security.

Hello @Moses Thomas
I have a requirement which is similar to what you solved, Could you please help me with the same: Is there a possibility to restrain some fields based on the Groups after the Ticket is created?
For example: I want everyone to be able to write "Summary field" but once the ticket gets created only the Project Admin should be able to edit the "Summary field" thereafter.
Thank You
