×Hi,
Use case: I'm trying to automatically add a link to a specific epic to certain issues found using a JQL filter, and I intend to run this flow once per day.
I'm trying to add a link to a specific issue, as per the sentence shown on that field, but I don't find any way to do it. I can only link to the "trigger issue" or "Most recently created issue".
Any idea why and what can I do?
Thank you in advance.
in order to tackle the right target could you please describe your whole use case? Which problem are you trying to solve with your automation rule? This makes it easier for the community to understand and analyze your problem and find a good solution.
Thx in advance.
Best
Stefan

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
In case it should be a specific issue you would like to link to you could also write into that field and fill in the key of that specific epic.

Oh, stupid of me.
I didn't understand one could simply type in that field since I saw 2 choices.
Thank you and sorry.

Hum, there is a problem, and I don't understand since I'm an admin and I'm able to do this by hand.

Within the rule details it shows who is the actor of the rule. Please check if it´s your user or the Automation user (default). Maybe this user doesn´t have the permission to link issues.

Hi,
I want to create a link between 2 projects with the "Link Issue" permission available to all "users". I'm both the actor and the owner of this automation. I tried to do this action manually, and it worked perfectly.
I don't know if this is linked. I even doubt it, since I would also have the right to create such an issue, but when I type the issue to link too, the user interface is saying: "create new" as if the ley I'm typing is new whereas it's a current issue.

Is the rule configured as a multi project or global rule (as it has more than 1 project in context)?

Hi,
It is configured as a multi-project, and I guess it might be the reason: one project might not have such right. I'll check now.
