Jira Cloud Service Desk Customer Portal strange error message

Hi,

I have a strange error message that I couldn't quite nail down the root cause and hoping the collective wisdom of this community can help!

One of our users attempted to open a request from our portal (not logged in) and was presented with the following error (the red message in the attached screenshot). The user ended up choosing another request type to open a ticket. The user was using Microsoft Edge browser. Our current configuration for Service Desk is that customers can create their own account and they can submit requests without logging in.

The strange parts are it's only for this request type and I cannot reproduce the same error on my own machine. I have tried it on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, and still didn't get the error message.

Have anyone encountered this problem before? Or know how to troubleshoot this?

Many thanks in advance!

There are three items to check:

  • JIRA Service Desk Global Settings
  • JIRA Service Desk Site Settings
  • Groups who can login under manage applications

You can learn more in this post - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Desk-questions/Help-with-permissions-to-my-Jira-Service-Desk-Signup-is-not/qaq-p/848518

This is my global setting:

This is my Service Desk project setting:

This is the product/group access setting:

All these settings look normal to me, so I'm not sure why some users see the signup error when they're not required to sign up to open a request.

What are all the request type fields and do you have any hidden fields?

I'm using standard fields and no hidden fields for the request type.
