Jira is creating duplicate Rank issues after every restart

Hi,

Jira is creating duplicate Rank issues after every restart. We unlocked and deleted all duplicate ranks and after a Jira restart, it is again getting created.

Jira version: 7.7.0

Mysql: 5.7.25

Please let us know the solution for this

What do you mean by "duplicate rank issues"? What are you seeing on-screen when it does this?

Sorry... not duplicate rank issues... Jira creating duplicate Rank field after every restart. Please let me know how to resolve this

Ah, ok. The Jira Software application will do this when it thinks you don't already have a rank field for all projects.

Could you show us the line in Admin -> Custom fields for the main, existing "rank" field? I'm looking for name, context and field type.

Hi Nic,

The above issue got resolved by unlocking all the custom Rank fields except default Rank filed from the database. Then removed all custom rank fields through Jira GUI and then scratch re-index.
