Jira upgrade 7.10.1 to 7.13.3

chandler June 14, 2019

Hi Atlassian Team,

We have upgraded the Jira server from 7.10.1 to 7.13.3. our server could not communicate with the Atlassian

 - downloaded the Jira Software and moved it to the server

 - Disabled Plugins that need update / unkown.

- Re indexed

- Performed health checks  (No issues)

- disabled the notifications

- upgraded applications using the Jira installer.

During the Upgrade we have forcibly stopped the Jira service .

After the upgrade the Atlassian Jira Service does not show up in the Windows services. Did any one come across such issue ?

Thank you.

Since this is a Windows environment.

You can reinstall the Jira service in services.msc.

cd <install directorty>/bin/

service.bat install Jira

-

After that it should show in services.msc and you need to adjust it to Automatic every time the server restart it will start Jira.

@chandler

Did you update server.xml file? Context_path and ports if you changed ports numbers from 8080

I assume that no changes were made to the DB, if no you will need to make changes to DBconfig.xml

Best,

Fadoua

Hi Fadoua,

Thank you for replying . The server.xml file was updated, since I was not sure what caused the problem reverted the server settings and the Database settings back and tried . Dint have problems this time.

Thanks,

Chand.
