Limiting @mention to a group

I have a jira Software project and I want to limit the @mention of a user.

When someone @mention a user i want that the range of persons to be only from one group "X".

It is this possible?

You cannot do it. The closest thing you can do is remove Browse User global permission for the individuals who are not a staff member.
