Hello !,
with Jira 8.13.6, we have users complaining it's confusing to add roles within their project. We have over 14000 users so more than one user can have the same name.
Jira is not showing the user email when trying to add a user to a role, so it's confusing.
Is there a way to show the user ID or user email in the add user role screen? Any solution other than addind a user by their email or user ID? Should be able to search by name and see user info...
For exemple we have 5 Nancy Tremblay here and it's not simple to be sure we add the proper one... any solution?
Thanks !
Did you manage to find a solution? Maybe the profile picutre is a possability?
Greetings
Yanick

Please tell each one of your employees to update the profile and mention email id into it .
And one more thing whenever new account created it's best practice to have email added and username as email.
So whenever you search for user to add specific project role it will be easy to find the user.
Hope this help you.
Thanks,
Mayur

Hi, they cannot update their profile, it's coming from the active directory.
Their email is in their profile but in the screen to add a project role, we can only see the name, nothing else. We can type the email to find the user but still can only see the name...
I would like to add a printscreen, but can't since security here is blocking all uploads...
Anyway, I'll see on my end about all this.
Thanks.
